The greatest moment of my life!

This happened last month, but I figured it was worthy of going in the new blog:

PAUL McCARTNEY CAME TO HALIFAX!

I didn't think I would ever be able to witness such an amazing event. A Beatle, played Halifax! I was so close!!!

The show happened back on July 11th, Paul put on such an amazing show playing for close to 3 hours, 27 songs in the main set, 4 during the first encore (including Mull of Kintyre which featured the 78th Highlanders Pipe Band from Halifax!!) and 5 more songs during a second encore! 36 songs in all!

Amazing energy all through the show, the senior Beatle didn't slow down at all! Constantly changing instruments and playing non-Paul Beatles songs! And he brought out a real treat playing Day Tripper which has never been played live by a solo-Beatle!

I turned into a hysteric fan screaming and crying the hole show! I was somehow able to get some photos and even videos through the chaos and the fact I was shooting with a point and shoot Canon PowerShot SD1000 Digital that had the batteries die less then half way though Paul's show!

Playing My Love!!

1101 Tower Rd.

1101 Tower Road was probably my favorite place to hang out in the city. Located in the south end of Halifax, it is part of the Historic Properties. A bunch of friends of mine had been renting it out since last year. Earlier this year they got word the the building they were staying in [broken up into apartments] had been sold and that they had a couple months to get out. Now that they have been kicked out I no longer have one of my favorite places to shoot and many people have lost an awesome place to hang out and party. :(
Once they got the word that they were being kicked out they started putting on concerts out of one of the bedrooms. Great times, it will be missed. There are two videos from one of the 'Funk It!' parties up Here
