Pride Toronto - 2010 Parade

Amazingly this was my first pride parade! Every year while I was in Halifax something would come up and I would end up working during the parade!  This year I made sure I wasn't going to miss the epicness that is the Toronto Pride Parade!
The Pride Toronto Parade/Festival is so amazing and massive and fun! The only downside to the parade was the weather was not the greatest... better then a thunder storm, but still annoying, not a cloud in the sky, boiling hot, no shadows to stay in, I got a bad burn! Even with a ton of sunblock I am apparently WAY too Irish for the sun! Totally worth it!

Pride Toronto - Cyndi Lauper @ Queen's Park

Pride weekend was so much fun! Saturday night I got together a group of friends and we headed out to Queen's Park to watch  Cyndi Lauper  play a free show in Queen's Park!
We also caught two of the opening acts; Dragonette and one of our favorite bands from Nova Scotia, Ruby Jean and the Thoughtful Bees!
Cyndi Lauper is one of my all time favorite singers! She was beyond amazing to see live! She didn't play any of her pop songs until around an hour into her performance, instead she stuck to singing her new stuff, amazing blues songs/covers! She was accompanied with a classic blues band and she came out dressed up like the Blues Brothers! <3!
Check out Pride Toronto's website for more Pride Events!

Terrence Drake

One of my first non-events since I moved to Toronto! I had a blast working with Toronto based fire performer Terrence Drake in the heart of the city!
It was awesome getting to see Terrence again, I knew him back in Nova Scotia before he moved up here about a year before i did! Check out his website here!
